It was constructed under the concept of self-reliant community development, which concentrates on the process of learning reinforcement and the participation of community, village organization, and strong community culture. The main function of the center is to encourage reed and jute cultivation. Besides, its purposes are to reduce the manufacturing costs, to have enough raw materials in the area, to provide some capital to pay for the cultivation and preparation costs, to refund social capital to the members, and to purchase and distribute community products. The purchase means to buy reed mats from the members and to process the mats for sale by focusing on the use of raw materials in the area. However, the other products are sold on consignment in order to create connection among the products in the community.
